OUR APPROACH
Natural, timeless and romantic.
Modern, yet steering clear of trends that will date in the years to come. Remember, these photos will be around for decades to come. We have that in mind when capturing your day.
SECOND PHOTOGRAPHERS
Second photographers are great for a few reasons:
2 angles of your ceremony and portraits
set-up and styling of your ceremony and reception are captured in detail
Capturing the groom and groomsmen getting ready if it’s a long distance from the bride and ceremony.
COLOUR AND BLACK & WHITE
Usually an 80:20 mix of colour to black and white.
Can convert.
SECURING YOUR DATE
GETTING READY
Groom
Have suit, shoes, cufflinks, ties/bowties, cologne, rings, pocket squares etc all gathered in one place for our arrival. They don’t need to be styled/set-up as we will take care of that.
Please be showered and ready to get dressed when we arrive. If you are already in your pants and shirt, this is ideal.
Bride
Please have dress, shoes, jewellery, perfume, invitations, bouquets etc gathered in the one place on our arrival. They don’t need to be styled/set-up as we will take care of that.
CEREMONIES
Beware of old cars and carsickness. No doubt your call looks stunning. But if you have a long cross city trip in weekend traffic, you may not be feeling your best at the other end - the ceremony. Particularly limos.
Fainting. Make sure to stay hydrated and to eat throughout getting ready, including bridesmaids. I’ve seen too many go down mid-ceremony.
FAMILY PORTRAITS
While a list isn’t essential, it is helpful if you would like multiple combinations.
We usually stick to this general structure and order to make sure no one important is missed whilst being efficient (so you can get back to relaxing)
B&G with parents
B&G with parents and siblings
B&G with parents, siblings with partners and kids
B&G with parents, grandparents, siblings with partners and kids
B&G with grandparents
Having said this, each family is unique in it’s own way and family portraits can be done any which way you’d like. In the past I have done one photo with all family members in the one shot and that’s it, or 45 minutes of multiple combinations of family, friends and friend groups. It’s entirely up to you.
Whatever you decide, I can recommend letting your family know when and how these photos are going to be taken (usually just after the ceremony).
BRIDAL PARTY PORTRAITS
We will begin with photos of everyone, then just the girls, then just the boys,
